A couple of months back I thought about doing a book haul post. I started making a list of all of the books I had bought over the past 6 months or so...and then promptly forgot about it. Stumbling back upon it last week, I decided now was the time! So, every year my city has a large booksale, during which I go on the best shopping spree of my life. By this point (it's nearing the next one), I don't remember everything that I got there and after, but here's at least some of my "recent" purchases, as well as a few gifts I've been given!

Crome Yellow - Aldous Huxley
The Hammer of God - Arthur C. Clarke
Sabriel - Garth Nix
Inkheart - Cornelia Funke
City of Fallen Angels - Cassandra Clare
Jamaica Inn/Frenchman's Creek/Rebecca - Daphne Du Maurier
Vampire Knight volumes 1-19
Claylord vol. 1
Clover (CLAMP)
Thomas Kincaide Colouring Book
War of the Worlds - H. G. Wells
The Almost Moon - Alice Sebold
The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet - Bernie Su, Kate Noble
Tales of the Alhambra - Washington Irving
Conrad's Fate - Diana Wynne Jones

  1. I really loved Rebecca Shayna and feel even if she annoys you some that there is still a lot of merit in the writing and way Mrs. de Winter is portrayed! And Vampire Knight! I started the series but never continued past the first few volumes. Having 19 of them would sure be handy! Happy reading. ❤️

    1. I read Rebecca last year, and it instantly became one of my favourites. And Vampire Knight is great, but the last few volumes do get pretty weird...worth a read if you have time and like some angst.

  2. have you read any of this since your haul? (that post title is GENIUS, BTW). The only author I have read from this list is Wynne Jones (her YA novel The Time and the Ghost). It was a slow burn for me, but I ended up loving it!

    1. Thanks, I thought it was funny!
The only Wynne Jones book I've read is Howl's Moving Castle, which I absolutely adored, so I had to pick up Conrad's Fate. I haven't had a chance to newly pick up any of these yet unfortunately, but some of them I have read before, which are: Rebecca, Inkheart, City of Fallen Angels, and Vampire Knight (full series). I'm hoping to pick up Conrad's Fate and/or The Almost Moon soon though.
